Overview of Services

Evaluations

An evaluation is performed by a certified Speech Language Pathologist using a variety of assessment tools to determine current strengths and weaknesses.

Full evaluations will consists of a parent interview, standardized testing, and informal observations. You will receive a complete written evaluation report, complete with background information, a discussion of findings, as well as recommendations.

Consultations

If your child has already had a comprehensive speech and language evaluation completed within the past 6 months, a consultation via phone or in person can determine need for therapy services. Additionally, formal and informal testing without a written report can be completed to determine if Rubin Speech Therapy is the right fit for you and your child.

Individual Therapy

The Speech-Language Pathologist will develop a customized therapy program to address areas of concern based on evaluation results, parent/teacher feedback, and clinician observations. Therapy will also be tailored to meet the child’s age, developmental level, interests, learning style, and areas of need. Therapy is always based on current research and driven by the needs and interests of our patients. Therapy sessions may vary in duration (30, 45, or 60 minutes) based on the individual needs of the client. Feedback and family education is provided to encourage carryover and generalization of skills.
